LIFE, THE FUTURE AND NOW,LOOK BEYOND THE VEIL AND TELL ME WHAT YOU CAN SEE, FROM ME TO YOU: THE AGAPE LOVE

by Valentine Olushola Oyedipe

LIFE, THE FUTURE AND NOW

A glance at the future may be elusive to hold,

Yet, it has to be held,

A retrospect of the past may be blurred to recast,

Yet, it is significant for the future,

A release of the past may seem pretty difficult, though!

Yet, it has to be let go,

Flexibility and malleability may seem desiderata,

Only if the mind could grasp the core,

And the very essence of its foundations,

But the mind could be rocked to its foundations, though!

Only amidst the vicissitudes and vagaries of life,

Then, what has life got to offer when the beam is off balance?

What has life got to do, to navigate the future?

What has life got to do, to balance the beam?

Perhaps, a swing to the right, and a swing to the left,

And a gravitation to its locus,

The epicenter of justice, equity and fairness,

The balanced scale, predicated upon divine truth,

The insignia of peace and tranquility among humanity,

The much- celebrated tone and overtones of yesterday, today and tomorrow,

That charges humanity’s emotions for harmony, unity, peace and love,

The universal kindness and the greatest gift of all time.

LOOK BEYOND THE VEIL AND TELL ME WHAT YOU CAN SEE

And the veil spread beyond its ebb,

Embedded with a thin layer cotton-silk,

Perforated by the cosmic rays of realities,

The invisible light upon Mankind,

As sky-blue as high, cascading the tiny drops,

And, as sea-blue as low,

The waves and tides of disillusion, dissolving its boundaries,

And the veil spread beyond its ebb,

Disarmed by the intelligent humour,

The unbeatable heavy sarcasm,

From the ballroom dancing class,

That made the enthusiasm never to ebb away,

In the midst of fierce and intense steady stream of waves and tides,

The seat of emotions,

And the veil spread beyond its ebb,

Projecting the witty surprising undercurrent,

Subsumed by the strong artistic streak,

That made the new experience charmingly flexible,

For a typical social butterfly,

And the veil spread beyond its ebb,

Shaping the rugged contours of optimism,

A wind –fall, and a glimmer of hope,

Engendered by the summer solstice,

The charming scene stealer of the seasons.

FROM ME TO YOU: THE AGAPE LOVE

The bunch was held,

And the vase was extended,

It was a myriad of colours,

Red was the tallest, and seconded by white,

The most prominent amongst its peers,

The bunch was held,

And the vase was extended,

It was a myriad of aromatic oils with aromatherapy,

The sensational sweet of all time,

That nourishes the heart with a unique effect,

The bunch was held,

And the vase was extended,

It was a symbol of love,

The sign of the heart with its lustrous delicate membrane,

Braced to its roots,

The bunch was held,

And the vase was extended,

It was a symbol of passion,

That uniquely permeated the delicate membrane of sensuality,

And a unique aromatic oil, dropping on the heart,

What a sensational atmosphere and aromatherapy, therein?

That was encapsulated in a lofty passion of the heart,

That was never inordinate, neither unbridled,

But genuinely rooted in agape love!
